Genevieve 7 months and counting

This girl just doesn't slow down. This month she has grown 2 teeth, started to stand with support, has perfected her crawl, and can eat solids with the best of them. When I took her to her six month check up almost a month late the doctor told me she looked so good that he didn't really need to see her again until she was a year. He said unless something odd comes up she is as developed as one hopes a nine months old to be so there really is no need to come in two months. And I couldn't agree more. Another mom from Bridger's school saw her crawl across his classroom and climb up to standing and start to try and steal a banana from another mom and she was beside herself. She said her one year old couldn't have done any of that. Yup, Genevieve is growing up too fast. It makes me a little worried about what mt life is going to be like for the next year. :) She is getting into everything! I think she is on a mission to kill herself. Some of her favorite things she does are eating dirt and rocks from the house plants, pulling the plants down on herself, eating food wrappers or scraps of food the kids leave around the house, grabbing the sharp knives in the dishwasher as mom or dad is doing dishes, and trying to crawl out the front door if her siblings leave the door open. We love her and her focused, sweet way she goes about taking on the world. :)
